Wool and the Gang – Solange Scarf Kit Review
I was recently lucky enough to receive a mystery parcel from Wool and the Gang.
I had been sent the Solange Scarf Kit
So whats in the mystery kit then….?
The kit is full of lovely high quality goodies, and some extras, as you would expect from Wool and the Gang.
- 3 balls of 100g 100% cotton Peruvian yarn
- a set of Rosewood Needles
- A sew in label for your creation
- A large wool needle for sewing in the ends
- Very easy to follow written instructions
The stitch markers in the photo are mine 😉
The cotton… oh this cotton is amazing! So soft and feels like silk both as you are working it and once the scarf is completed. I was astounded by the texture. Truly lovely.
The instructions are really easy to follow with images showing the stitches.
The packing has improved since I had my last kit. Last time around I nearly poked my eyes on the needles when I opened the package up. This time around the needles are safely encased in a cardboard wrap.
As always there is a load of yarn, plenty so you don’t need to worry about playing yarn chicken as you finish the project.
This was a very fast knit for me. It only took a few evenings to complete and was a pleasure to make. I really like the scarf which you can see me wearing in the first picture.
Its a lovely squishy design which can stretch out unfeasibly long and thin and then becomes a wide wrap when stretched back to its full width.
The Solange Scarf is the perfect cover-up, whatever the occasion. Made from our super-soft Shiny Happy Cotton, it combines multiple stitch patterns to keep your knitting fun. Whether you’re wearing jeans and a tee, or a little black dress, wrap the Solange Scarf around your shoulders for some instant cool elegance.
Stitches include: mock fisherman’s rib, holey stitch and double wrap stitch
Measurements: width: 40cm/16″, length: 148cm/58″
